Dipartimento di Scienze agroalimentari, ambientali e animali

Via delle Scienze 206, 33100 Udine

Di4a involves researchrs from different scientific disciplines ranging from social sciences to environmental sciences and biotechnology. The team of di4a involved in ECO-DRESS is composed by 3 agronomists (with a specific expertise in agroecology and weed science), a mechanical engineer and two entomologists (with specific expertise on bees and pollinators). The team will contribute to all WPs and will coordinate WP 3. Specifically, the team will carry out a two-years trial in the Servadei experimental farm for two years and will collaborate with 2 farmers for an On-Farm Experiment.

Substitute PI

ORCID: 0000-0002-2797-0758

Associate professor in Agronomy and Field Crops. PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, Italy and AgroParisTech, France). Her main research interests are the assessment and design of agricultural systems in different contexts (pedo-climatic, rural/peri-urban, permanent/arable crops) at the farm, landscape and regional levels. For that, she makes use of innovative methods and tools, as such those supporting the modelling of farming / cropping systems at territorial levels, the design of innovative systems along with their sustainability assessment. She has developed skills in participatory methods, spatial analysis and foresight/scenario analysis.

Associate Professor of General and Applied Entomology.

ORCID: 0000-0002-2405-4914

He received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Science and Biotechnology (University of Udine, Italy). He conducts studies concerning honey bee health, with particular interest in the negative effects of biotic (parasites and pathogens) and abiotic (pesticides, nutritional deficiencies) stresses on hives. He is scientific director of the Regional Beekeeping Laboratory of Friuli Venezia Giulia, where he is engaged in the promotion of beekeeping and the study of the relationships between the environment and domestic and wild bees in order to promote their well-being and survival.
